SMARTBEAM 2025 Hangzhou New Product Launch Event Concludes Successfully

On April 7th, SMARTBEAM hosted a future-focused technology event in Hangzhou's Binjiang district – the "Smart Binjiang, Envisioning the Future" themed launch event, which concluded successfully.

Innovation in medical equipment is at the forefront of technological breakthroughs and a boundless realm for the wise and courageous. "To achieve success for our customers and our employees, and to make SMARTBEAM a respected company" is SMARTBEAM's long-term vision for the future development of SMARTBEAM Technology, and a shared belief among all SMARTBEAM employees.

For SMARTBEAM, the greater priority lies in reshaping the industry and establishing technological leadership. The quality of its liquid metal bearing CT tubes currently on sale matches that of imported products. In terms of durability, the maximum exposure time has exceeded 1.5 million seconds, with average performance reaching international standards. Taking the ZS502L model as an example, by the end of last year, the average exposure time of tubes in operation reached 670,000 seconds, and over 90% remain in active use.

Meanwhile, SMARTBEAM is advancing into higher-end cutting-edge technologies. In the field of 128-slice and above ultra-high-end CT systems, where core technologies have long been dominated by foreign companies—a major bottleneck for China's medical equipment industry—SMARTBEAM successfully obtained a national key R&D project under the “Unveiling and Assuming Command” initiative in December 2024. The company is building a fully independent intellectual property system for liquid metal bearing CT tube technology. With the project progressing, it is expected to launch related products next year, positioning domestic CT tubes at the global technological forefront.

This will also mark a shift for China’s CT tube core component development from the traditional “import-and-imitate” approach toward independently defining industry standards.

During the launch event, SMARTBEAM introduced a series of medical CT X-ray tube assemblies designed for 64-slice and higher mid-to-high-end CT scanners, including models such as ZS702L/H847B, ZS712L/H485B, ZS352C/H485A, and ZS502L/H580C.

With the launch of these significant new products and their coverage of the widely-used 64-slice CT systems, SMARTBEAM now aligns directly with top-tier international offerings. This also marks a key step for domestically-produced CT tubes as they enter the ranks of global high-end products.
